Medical Capabilities

AeroCare transports patients from pediatrics to geriatrics, excluding specialty care services. We transport medical, surgical, cardiac, trauma, pediatric, neuro, and burn patients from scene responses and rural area facilities to tertiary care facilities 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

Our flight nurses and paramedics use the latest technology and advanced education to transport patients who require advanced procedures, including oral and nasal intubation, needle and surgical cricothyroidotomy, biphasic defibrillation and cardioversion, mechanical ventilation (including non-invasive ventilation), intraosseous insertion, and rapid sequence intubation (RSI). We also provide nonemergent and/or scheduled air ambulance services. 

Exceptional medical care is necessary. Medical crewmember qualifications/certifications:

1. Minimum of three years recent and applicable experience 
2. ALS, BLS and Critical Care Life Support 
3. ACLS, PALS and Advanced Trauma Certifications 
4. NRP ( Neonatal Resuscitation Program ) Certifications 
5. Employees maintain extensive critical care, ER and/or ICU experience 
6. Monthly flight reviews, quarterly continuing education programs and annual recurrent training 

Aviation/Pilot Capabilities

No pilot is permitted to act as “pilot in command” until first passing a flight check by a certified FAA check airman and completing aircraft specific factory schooling. In addition, factory trained pilots receive annual training and quarterly quality assurance checks and must pass a detailed physical examination. 

Safety is our priority. Our pilots are: 

1. FAA approved through FAA check rides 
2. Certified by the U.S. Department of Transportation as medically fit 
3. Factory trained in specific aircraft type and model Annually 
4. Instrument, commercial, multi-engine and instructor rated 
5. Trained in all meteorological conditions and high proficiency 

Aircraft

AeroCare utilizes both fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft to transport patients. Our aircraft are capable of transporting 1 stretcher patient, 2 medical attendants, and 1 pilot. We are also able to accommodate 1 family member in our fixed-wing aircraft.

We provide safe and reliable air medical services with a focus on serving rural communities. Our fixed-wing aircraft are operated under the Guardian Flight certificate and our rotor-wing aircraft under the AMRG certificate.
